Job Description

Configuration DevOps Engineer building CI/CD pipelines for Veeam’s data resilience and security software. Automating builds, deployments, and configuration across Windows and Linux environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for C#/.NET and C++ projects across Windows and Linux build agents
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor build automation systems to ensure seamless software builds and deployments
  • Write and maintain scripts for infrastructure deployment automation, monitoring, and configuration management
  • Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures, and optimize build performance across the toolchain
  • Implement and manage configuration management tools to ensure consistent environments across development, testing, and production
  • Document processes, procedures, pipeline architecture, and operational standards
  • Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and IT operations to ensure smooth product delivery
  • Proactively improve CI/CD processes, automation, and reliability
  • Grow into ownership of build/release infrastructure health, security SLAs, and incident response as scope expands

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with a CI/CD system (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar)
  • Experience automating processes with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
  • Ability to use REST APIs as a process automation tool
  • Experience with Windows and/or Unix/Linux administration and scripting (Bash)
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience with cross-team collaboration
  • Self-driven and autonomous — comfortable owning your own tasks end-to-end with minimal oversight, and inclined to improve how the work gets done, not just push the current task through
  • English proficiency sufficient to communicate with international teams
  • Bonus: Knowledge of C#, C++
  • Bonus: Experience working with monorepositories, managing large build artifacts, and utilizing cross-platform toolchains
  • Bonus: Experience with IaC tools (Ansible, etc.)
  • Bonus: Experience maintaining RPM repositories
  • Bonus: Knowledge of virtualization platforms
  • Bonus: Deeper package-manager expertise (e.g., publishing/maintaining NuGet or Conan packages, custom Conan recipes)
  • Bonus: Experience with monitoring/observability stacks (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, or similar)

Benefits:

  • 25 vacation days, 4 sick days, 21 paid medical leave days, plus 4 extra global VeeaMe Days for self-care and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares
  • Premium private medical insurance for employees and dependents
  • Daily meal vouchers for restaurants and groceries (180 CZK per working day)
  • Flexible cafeteria platform with thousands of lifestyle benefit options
  • Multisport Card for gym and wellness, with family add-on options
  • Annual public transport reimbursement up to a set limit
  • Corporate mobile plan with optional family tariff
  • Opportunities to learn and grow through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning
