Job Description
Graphic designer completing and narrating real workflows for Mercor’s AI research projects. Creating high-quality training data for frontier AI models on a personal Mac.
Responsibilities:
- Complete real graphic design tasks on a Mac
- Narrate design workflows and creative decisions
- Create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
- Support a research project with a leading AI lab
- Work on projects training and enhancing AI systems
- Complete a 3-minute AI interviewer conversation
- Complete a brief paid assessment
- Submit a resume and receive follow-up communication regarding application status and next steps
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of professional or freelance graphic design experience, or currently enrolled postgraduate design student
- Own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity, or Canva
- Experience with branding, layout, typography, and visual communication
- Portfolio is a plus
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Master's studies, or 2–3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelor's degree from a prestigious institution
- Ability to clearly explain creative decisions while working
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work as an independent contractor
- H1-B or STEM OPT candidates are not supported
