Job Description
Graphic designer completing and narrating real design workflows for Mercor’s AI lab partners. Creating high-quality training data to benchmark and improve frontier AI systems.
Responsibilities:
- Complete real graphic design tasks on a Mac
- Narrate design work and explain creative decisions
- Create high-quality training data for advanced AI models
- Support a research project with a leading AI lab
- Work through real design workflows to benchmark and improve AI models
- Complete a brief AI interviewer conversation and paid assessment during onboarding
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of professional or freelance graphic design experience, or currently enrolled postgrad design student
- Own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity, or Canva
- Experience with branding, layout, typography, and visual communication
- Portfolio is a plus
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or 2-3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelors from a prestigious institution
- Ability to clearly explain creative decisions while working
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to work as an independent contractor
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
