Job Description
Remote Graphic Design Team Lead Intern overseeing ONC’s graphic design team. Coordinating projects, directing creative work, and maintaining brand quality for a nonprofit advancing nonpartisan civic dialogue.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Graphic Design team at ONC
- Delegate tasks to team leads and interns based on their strengths and expertise
- Provide guidance and support to team leads and interns
- Coordinate and prioritize design projects, ensuring deadlines are met
- Provide creative direction and constructive feedback
- Guide development of design concepts aligned with brand guidelines and mission
- Review and approve design work for visual appeal, accuracy, and brand compliance
- Conduct regular design critiques to encourage improvement and consistency
- Communicate with ONC team members via Slack, email, and Zoom
- Lead weekly Graphic Design Team meetings
- Contribute to ONC’s mission of providing nonpartisan news, opinions, and policy solutions
Requirements:
- Working towards a degree in Visual/Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, and/or related fields
- Responsive, consistent, and effective communicator, even during conflict
- Self-starter willing to take initiative and complete tasks
- Ability to work remotely and on their own schedule in order to meet deadlines
- Adobe Suite experience
- Canva experience preferred
- Google Workspace experience preferred
- Ability to attend organization-wide meetings every other week
- Ability to lead weekly Graphic Design Team meetings
- Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
