Job Description
Consultant providing technical expertise and coordination on health financing emergency response for WHO. Focusing on analytics, reports, and capacity building to assist countries facing health financing challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance, expertise, and coordination with respect to health financing emergency response.
- Conduct analytics and contribute to health financing related reports and capacity building efforts.
- Develop webinar and related materials to disseminate WHO’s guidance paper.
- Provide report summarizing quantitative indicator analysis.
- Review and summarize quantitative analytical plans across countries.
- Work with WHO’s health financing team on a coherent outline for the report.
- Develop and complete two country reports on the impact and response to aid reductions.
- Contribute to the development, publication and dissemination of the completed State of Health Financing report.
Requirements:
- Advanced university degree in medicine, health, economics, or public health.
- At least five years’ experience supporting and leading health financing and health systems related work, with a focus on global coordination and dissemination.
- Expertise in knowledge translation, management, and brokering.
- Coordination and global liaison skills.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Sound analytical skills.
- Project management skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health financing systems and related concepts.
