Job Description
Consultant mapping U.S. organizations and individuals developing malaria-control and elimination tools. Researching innovators, securing consent, and preparing verified data for MNM's interactive map.
Responsibilities:
- Research and develop a comprehensive list of U.S.-based organizations and individuals conducting malaria-related R&D or manufacturing
- Draft plain-language descriptions covering each innovator's work, U.S. R&D and manufacturing locations, pipeline stage, organization type, and relevant partnerships
- Document sources so factual information can be verified
- Contact innovators to obtain written consent for inclusion on the public map and approval of proposed descriptions
- Maintain a log of outreach, responses, requested edits, approvals, and consent status
- Provide a final dataset containing approved entries formatted for upload to the interactive map
- Include declined, pending, and non-responsive entries in the master list and consent log
Requirements:
- Background in global health, science writing, or research
- Comfortable conducting independent research
- Comfortable contacting scientists and companies
- Comfortable following up with prospective participants
- Comfortable explaining technical work to a general audience
- Malaria experience and existing contacts in the field are a plus
