Job Description
Public safety consultant supporting BerryDunn’s government consulting engagements. Analyzing operations, managing project tasks, and preparing client reports and presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing consulting engagements, including research, technical engagement tasks, documentation, and engagement reporting
- Support delivery of client services on time, within scope, and within budget
- Assist in creating written deliverables and other work products
- Participate in meetings and interviews with client stakeholders and document client needs and challenges
- Participate in staff/team meetings and training
- Support team operations, events and marketing, internal research projects, and professional development initiatives
- Assist with project management, including tracking and reporting project progress, maintaining project document repositories, and reviewing deliverables for quality assurance
- Provide ad hoc assessments and briefings in response to client requests
- Develop concise summaries, reports, and presentations of complex data for client leadership
- Perform assigned administrative tasks effectively and efficiently
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree (relevant professional may be offered in lieu of this requirement)
- 2-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a Business Analyst role
- Relevant experience in project management, project coordination, and/or research
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willingness to travel 35-50%
- Preferred: experience working in a public safety domain: police, fire, EMS, dispatch, or corrections
- Preferred: experience working with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) datasets
- Preferred: experience with police Records Management Systems (RMS), fire RMS, Jail Management Systems (JMS), or Offender Management Systems (OMS)
- Preferred: experience with MS Teams and SharePoint collaboration platforms and leveraging AI for efficiency
