Job Description
Corporate Travel Consultant booking domestic and international air, car, and hotel reservations through Amadeus. Supporting ALTOUR’s corporate travel management clients in a virtual call center.
Responsibilities:
- Service inbound corporate travel requests in a virtual call center environment
- Provide extraordinary customer service to Altour clients
- Greet all clients with enthusiasm
- Provide consultative service to travelers and travel arrangers throughout the booking process
- Quote and book accurate domestic and international air, car, and hotel reservations
- Complete all reservations accurately and timely
- Follow Federal and State travel requirements, including the Fly America Act
- Secure the lowest available air, car, and hotel rates at time of booking
- Utilize client and Altour negotiated programs when applicable
- Utilize GDS low fare search capabilities
- Maintain productivity goals measured by transactions per day
- Maintain quality goals measured by minimal customer service issues
- Maintain customer experience goals measured through call monitoring performance
- Proactively support peers and assist with decision-making
- Escalate issues to a leader when appropriate
Requirements:
- Must pass GDS assessment
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM
- 5 years’ travel selling experience
- 5+ years’ customer service experience, preferably in the travel industry
- Exceptional/above & beyond, proactive customer service approach
- Excellent travel industry knowledge
- Mastery in Amadeus GDS formats, shortcuts, enhancements, and pricing
- Corporate travel experience required
- Experience in international travel bookings and process
- Experience handling multiple accounts
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to embrace change and adapt
- Strong understanding of own skill set and development opportunities
- Ability to take direction, offer suggestions, and ask for appropriate guidance
- Demonstrates exceptional teamwork
- Ability to act as a leader among peers
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to peers and leaders when appropriate

- Strong understanding of key Altour initiatives and strong change management skills
