Job Description
Cybersecurity Engineer automating cybersecurity operations, scripting, and API integrations for The Home Depot. Troubleshooting incidents and strengthening threat defense and access management.
Responsibilities:
- Support cybersecurity initiatives through automation, scripting, and tool integration
- Partner with security teams to streamline processes
- Develop solutions using APIs
- Enhance operational efficiency through modern development practices
- Troubleshoot and quickly resolve escalated incidents
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with Enterprise Technology to configure and integrate cybersecurity systems and services that mitigate risk
- Design, build, configure, maintain, and monitor cybersecurity threat defense capabilities and user access management
- Report to a Manager or Sr. Manager
- Maintain no direct reports
Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in cybersecurity, or related internships
- Experience programming in Python
- Familiarity with APIs and system integrations
- Experience with Git, GitHub, and GitHub Copilot
- Strong problem-solving skills and desire to learn cybersecurity technologies
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- High school diploma and/or GED knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion
- No certifications required
