Job Description
Transit safety specialist leading U.S. infrastructure safety, security, and certification projects for AECOM. Developing risk analyses, PTASPs, compliance documentation, and client training.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project tasks for internal and external clients across the United States
- Apply FTA risk-management processes and APTA industry standards
- Develop PHAs/TVAs and associated mitigations/countermeasures
- Hold workshops with multidisciplinary groups and committees
- Develop CELs/CILs
- Develop DCCCs/CSCCs
- Interact directly with agency clients and project managers
- Prepare SSC documents and reports
- Develop, review, and update PTASPs annually
- Conduct SSC peer reviews
- Deliver SSC training for internal and external clients
- Provide direction and guidance to multidisciplinary colleagues and junior staff
- Complete assignments with minimal oversight from senior management
Requirements:
- BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Ability to pass MVR check
- Public Transportation Safety Certification (PTSCTP and/or TSSP) preferred
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred
- FTA TSSP Bus/Rail Certification preferred
- Working proficiency with CPTED Design Standards
- Working proficiency with ADA Design Standards and project delivery compliance
- Working proficiency with NFPA 130 Design Standards
- Proven proficiency with the FTA Safety & Security Certification Process
- Proven proficiency with APTA Safety & Security Certification Standards
- Proven proficiency with PTASP Development and Annual Review Process
- Proven proficiency with Safety & Security Certification Documentation
- Proven proficiency with Safety & Security Design Review
- Proven proficiency with Hazard and Vulnerability Analysis/Assessments
- Proven project task lead experience involving PTSCTP/TSSP, State Safety Oversight, and U.S. domestic Cybersecurity and safety/security systems
- Sponsorship is not offered now or in the future
- Must complete in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office
