Job Description
Data Conversion Specialist migrating critical business data for STÜWE, a mechanical-components and braking-systems manufacturer. Managing ETL, data quality, mapping, validation, and migration documentation remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute complex data conversion and migration projects
- Develop and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
- Analyse and map data from legacy systems to new platforms
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and deduplication
- Collaborate with IT and business departments to define data conversion requirements and objectives
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues during the conversion process
- Create and maintain documentation of data conversion procedures, mapping rules, and processes
- Develop reports to monitor data quality and migration project progress
Requirements:
- Proven professional experience as a Data Conversion Specialist, Data Migration Specialist, or in a similar role
- Strong proficiency with SQL and extensive experience with relational database systems
- Demonstrable experience with ETL tools and data migration methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is highly desirable
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering organisation is advantageous
