Job Description
Júnior Data Engineer supporting SQL Server Data Warehouse, developing ETL routines and data models. Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams in a growing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and evolve the SQL Server–based Data Warehouse
- Develop, maintain and monitor ETL/ELT routines
- Create and improve dimensional and analytical data models
- Implement integrations with APIs for transactional data ingestion
- Develop Python scripts and routines for data extraction, transformation and loading
- Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability
- Monitor loads, identify failures and optimize query and process performance
- Document processes, data flows and data models
- Support BI, Analytics and Product teams in understanding and using data
Requirements:
- Proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, CTEs, stored procedures and basic performance considerations)
- Basic knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts
- Understanding of data modeling, especially dimensional modeling
- Experience with Python for data manipulation (requests, pandas, scripting)
- Familiarity with consuming REST APIs
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation
- Previous experience with Data Warehouses
- Familiarity with SQL Server
- Experience with Git for version control
- Awareness of data quality best practices
- Familiarity with BI tools
- Analytical and organized mindset
- Eagerness to learn and acquire new knowledge
- Good communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive in investigating and resolving data issues
- Attention to detail and focus on quality
- Team player and collaborative attitude
