Job Description
Data Science leader shaping data-driven decisions at Allstate. Leading machine learning applications and mentoring junior scientists.
Responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor junior data scientists.
- Lead medium to high complexity initiatives.
- Influence how data driven decisions are designed, evaluated, and scaled.
- Lead the strategic application of machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Develop scalable, cloud based, and full stack capabilities that support the reliable deployment of machine learning solutions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands on, practical experience using Python for data analysis, modelling, and building production ready solutions.
- Experience using other modern data science tools (R, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), observability concepts, and cloud security fundamentals.
- Introductory experience or strong interest in Generative or Agentic development.
- Exposure to AWS Bedrock and/or Azure Foundry through projects, coursework, or on-the-job experience.
