Job Description

Senior Manager providing guidance on regulatory reporting accuracy and efficiency at BMO. Leading data analysis for effective risk management and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the team responsible for regulatory reporting data and systems
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by providing guidance on technical solutions to enhance regulatory reporting accuracy and efficiency
  • Conducts in-depth data dependent analyses of key data required for regulatory reporting
  • Perform prescribed analysis and ad hoc portfolio monitoring/reporting activities
  • Participates in and/or lead initiatives designed to improve existing controls and processes or create new controls and processes to ensure accuracy of the data used for regulatory reporting
  • Provide leadership, training, coaching and mentoring of team members within the data analytics and reporting group
  • Build interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups

Requirements:

  • Typically 7+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prefer 5+ years managing a team of people performing complex activities and with tight deadlines.
  • Prior exposure to FR Y-9C / Call Report / FR Y-14 / FR 2052a strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data management principles and processes and robust familiarity with various data analysis and reporting tools such as: MS Excel, SQL, Essbase, Python.
  • Strong analytical skills and domain knowledge of deposits, loans, leases, securities, and/or derivatives.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and challenging team environment.
