Job Description

Data Scientist IV driving Generative AI initiatives at Agile Lab. Leading tech vision and overseeing AI platform evolution while collaborating with diverse teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining and driving the technical vision and strategy for Generative AI initiatives across projects and teams
  • Acting as a senior technical authority on GenAI system design, agentic architectures, observability, and production readiness
  • Advising multiple teams on architectural decisions, trade-offs, and best practices for ML and GenAI solutions
  • Overseeing the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and maintainable AI platforms
  • Leading and supporting pre-sales and client-facing activities: Conducting technical discovery and solution design; Assessing feasibility and analyzing risks; Contributing to proposals and delivering technical presentations
  • Managing stakeholders effectively in complex and ambiguous environments
  • Mentoring both senior and junior team members, fostering technical excellence and leadership development
  • Collaborating with leadership to evolve processes, standards, and organizational capabilities
  • Anticipating technological trends and identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer
  • Extensive, proven experience in delivering and leading Generative AI projects
  • Strong expertise in: GenAI system design; Agentic AI patterns; Model serving and observability in production environments
  • Deep specialization in at least one of the following Data Science domains: Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Time Series Analysis and Forecasting; Optimization; Causal Machine Learning; Computer Vision
  • Solid foundational knowledge of the broader Data Science landscape
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to define long-term technical direction
  • Proven experience in multi-team advisory roles
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience in executive-level and high-pressure environments
  • Experience in pre-sales or client-facing technical roles
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Strong team collaboration and leadership attitude
