Job Description
Database Migration Engineer role focused on optimizing SQL queries and managing database performance. Join Compass UOL to drive technology innovation and transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze the performance of SQL queries used by C#.Net applications;
- Write, review, and propose improvements to SQL queries with a focus on optimization and performance;
- Perform proactive monitoring of application performance in development environments;
- Propose improvements to data modeling to support scalability, efficiency, and performance;
- Execute data loads and transfers between environments using database administration tools;
- Assist in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and promoting database best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in progress or completed, or postgraduate studies (specialization, master's, or doctorate) in Information Technology;
- Proven professional experience in the technology field (as an employee and/or contractor);
- Experience with SQL Server;
- Strong skills in analyzing and optimizing SQL queries;
- Experience monitoring the performance of databases and applications;
- Knowledge of data modeling;
- Preferred: Experience with Azure Data Factory; experience or familiarity with Databricks; experience with data environments on Azure.
