Job Description

Design Engineer developing aerospace product components and supporting design documentation. Collaborating with innovative teams in dynamic project environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing new designs for product parts and producing associated design documentation
  • Responding to product change requests and ensuring creation of 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Uploading design data into the client's Product Definition Management (PDM) system as well as into our own PDM system
  • Developing and implementing project schedules and maintaining product time-to-market timelines
  • Complying with CFR 25.856(a) and (b) flammability requirements for insulation methods and acoustic production procedures
  • Working onsite at the client location in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada, and supporting ongoing troubleshooting activities with the client
  • Managing project costs and organizing client meetings in the supervisor’s absence

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher (obtained and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of design and/or drafting experience in private, public, government, or military environments
  • One (1) year of experience with CATIA V5 modeling and drafting software
  • One (1) year of experience with a Product Definition Management system, including ENOVIA
  • Experience managing client expectations regarding schedules and requirements
  • Experience with other IT tools, including CITRIX, DATALINK, eROOMS and SmarTeam
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience using SAP
