Job Description
DevOps / Cloud Architect providing technical leadership for cloud architecture and operational readiness. Supporting cloud-based analytics at Leidos for CDC DHP operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cloud architecture, infrastructure, automation, and DevOps activities.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Support cloud-based analytics and data management environments.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code and automation solutions.
- Support monitoring, performance optimization, security, and operational readiness.
- Assist with modernization initiatives and phased migration activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, analytics, governance, and operations teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience supporting cloud architecture, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or systems engineering.
- Experience with Azure cloud environments and DevOps practices.
- Experience supporting CI/CD, automation, and deployment pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and systems engineering skills.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
- Experience supporting CDC, HHS, or public health analytics environments (preferred).
- Experience with EDAV (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, R Studio, PowerBI, Tableau), 1CDP (Palantir Foundry), Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms (preferred).
- Experience supporting migration from SAS to other analytics solutions (e.g., R, Python, Databricks, Palantir Foundry) (preferred).
- Experience supporting modernization, migration, and cloud adoption initiatives (preferred).
- Experience with Kubernetes, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code technologies (preferred).
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), or equivalent certifications (preferred).
