Job Description
Digital primary care physician delivering evidence-based virtual care through Galileo’s proprietary platform. Treating complex and chronic conditions via text chat and video.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, comprehensive, evidence-based primary care through asynchronous text-based chat and synchronous video
- Care for Galileo patients managing complex and chronic illnesses using Galileo's proprietary app and technology
- Provide compassionate, empathetic care to patients from age 0-100, including patients with diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and mental health needs
- Work with a diverse patient population and foster an inclusive care environment
- Solve patient problems efficiently through resourcefulness and collaboration with team members
- Work 4-hour shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight on weekdays and weekends
- Work at least two 4-hour shifts each weekend in addition to weekday hours
- Support Galileo's 24/7 digital medical group
Requirements:
- 4+ years of clinical experience post residency in complex care, chronic care management, or primary care
- Experience in or appetite for learning digital-first healthcare, such as virtual medicine
- Interest in innovative models of care balancing evidence-based approaches with creative ideas
- High comfort using technology and applications to deliver virtual care
- Experience with proprietary clinician-patient platform, Google Suite, and Slack, or ability to learn them
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active state licensure in HI, CA, WA, and/or ability to obtain additional state licensures
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish is a bonus, including reading, writing, speaking, and understanding cultural nuances for native Spanish speakers in a medical setting
