Job Description

Director leading benefits technology systems, EDI, HRIS, payroll integrations, and team operations for The Baldwin Group’s insurance brokerage. Driving scalable solutions and client service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the EBG Technology Team and activities
  • Develop and drive annual goals and objectives for the EBG Technology Team
  • Keep colleagues updated on decisions, changes, and relevant information
  • Create an environment for open feedback through effective communication and regular meetings
  • Evaluate colleague performance and conduct annual evaluations incorporating 360 feedback
  • Coach, mentor, and train team colleagues
  • Oversee EBG Technology solution systems, infrastructure, and administration
  • Develop a scalable long-term strategic business plan for the EBG Technology Team
  • Oversee project management processes, vendor support services, and technology solution access
  • Develop and communicate solutions to resolve complex issues
  • Oversee EDI with insurance companies, HRIS, and payroll systems; manage RFIs for clients adopting new payroll systems
  • Negotiate fees for systems and services
  • Represent the organization at national meetings
  • Research new products, system developments, database management, and administration trends
  • Evaluate and establish procedures and technologies to ensure system security
  • Partner with leadership to streamline processes, add business value, and create equivalent electronic processes
  • Guide the Technology team in analyzing, evaluating, and prioritizing requirements for business process or automated application solutions
  • Promote firm culture and client satisfaction
  • Identify opportunities to improve the firm, business segment, and processes
  • Complete special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years working experience with benefit administration systems, payroll systems and/or HRIS systems and team leadership experience
  • Superb client relations skills with the ability to diffuse tense situations
  • Experience in working and configuring an HRIS Database
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including manipulating data, comparing two data sets, performing pivot tables and lookups
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Effective presentation skills through verbal and written communications
  • Ability to learn appropriate insurance company and firm software systems
  • Ability to grow in benefits product knowledge
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads while maintaining deadlines
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively within a team environment to share knowledge and manage workflows
  • Current Florida 2-15 License, as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in states where the firm functions
  • Demonstrated behavior aligned with the firm’s core values and culture
