Job Description
Director of Billing overseeing claim submissions and revenue cycle management operations for a healthcare company. Leading teams and ensuring compliance with billing regulations and workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all initial claim generation and submission processes
- Ensure timely and accurate claim submission
- Maintain clean claim rate targets (>95%)
- Lead clearinghouse edits and rejection management
- Perform root-cause analysis on billing issues
- Standardize billing workflows across the organization
- Partner with coding, credentialing, and payer teams
- Lead billing managers and supervisors
- Manage and oversee both offshore and onshore billing teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field
- 8–10+ years of revenue cycle experience, with focus on billing operations
- Strong knowledge of claim submission, payer requirements, and denial management
- Experience managing both onshore and offshore teams
- Familiarity with billing systems (e.g., Tebra or similar platforms)
