Job Description

District Sales Manager developing strategic relationships with agents for ProAg's insurance offerings. Engaging in business development and maintaining a database of agents in Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic territory plan by identifying and meeting with prospective agents regarding ProAg’s insurance offerings
  • Drive additional business through a variety of means including agency visits, social events, trade shows, and correspondence
  • Meet or exceed sales goals for both existing and new business within Nebraska
  • Maintain a database of current and prospective agents
  • Serve as a primary relationship owner, trusted advisor, and point of contact for assigned agent accounts
  • Become a subject-matter expert on ProAg’s products, business, and applications
  • Monitor competitor and industry trends
  • Collaborate with internal resources to prepare for training or educational events
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and government regulations
  • Perform other relevant duties and projects assigned

Requirements:

  • At least two years of sales experience, crop insurance experience preferred
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to facilitate cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business
  • Required to travel outside normal work location, travel is up to 75%
  • Ability to work independently to achieve organizational goals and tasks
  • Ability to build trust and relationships with key constituencies
