Job Description
Part-time copy editor/paginator for Pagemasters North America working remotely in Canada. Responsible for editing and paginating print newspaper content in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a copy editor/paginator in a fast-paced news environment
- Work one to three shifts a week, primarily evenings
- Ensure details are accurate while meeting deadlines
- Provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with other team members on projects
Requirements:
- Solid experience copy editing, designing and proofreading print newspaper pages
- Solid experience writing strong and accurate headlines and other display copy
- Strong news judgment
- The ability to get the details right while meeting daily deadlines
- Superior customer service orientation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- A background in journalism
- Experience editing sports-related content would be an asset
