Job Description
Electrical Designer II creating arc-flash electrical construction plans for Meade, a design firm serving data centers and large-scale construction projects. Supporting AutoCAD standards, quality checks, revisions, and BIM coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, draft, and publish electrical construction documents for data centers and high-profile commercial projects.
- Perform drafting work under the direction of project managers and engineers, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
- Create and maintain company-specific AutoCAD standards and technical details.
- Collaborate with project teams to resolve design challenges and improve drafting processes.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Support project documentation, including design revisions, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.
- Assist in the integration of Revit models and BIM coordination when applicable.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as an electrical designer/drafter.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Ability to work in a team environment with Project Managers, Engineers and Designers.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be motivated by deadlines, and possess the ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of background checks, drug testing, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Revit experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of principles within the engineering and construction field is preferred.
