Job Description
Executive Director of Architecture leading CVS Health’s enterprise technology strategy and architecture initiatives. Guiding senior architects and translating complex technical decisions into business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and shape technical architecture initiatives spanning the enterprise application portfolio
- Build relationships and collaboration across teams
- Help set CVS Health's architectural strategic direction
- Lead and guide senior architects and architecture leaders while developing their leadership skills
- Build and maintain CVS Health's reference architecture
- Identify appropriate technology partnerships
- Serve as a trusted technical voice to senior executives
- Translate complex architecture decisions into business impact and strategic direction
Requirements:
- 15+ years as a software developer/architect (20+ preferred)
- Track record leading large technical architecture initiatives across multiple value streams in a large, complex enterprise
- Recognized expertise across multiple technical domains
- Ability to influence and align senior executives around technology strategy and translate technical detail into business outcomes
- Experience leading senior architects and architecture managers
- Track record of developing leadership talent
- Strong collaboration, influence, negotiation, coaching, and coalition-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required
- Experience in health care and/or insurance preferred
