Job Description

External wholesaler building advisor relationships and driving investment-product sales for Raymond James Investment Management. Managing territory plans, presentations, leads, and advisor education across Central Florida.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with financial advisors to generate assets within a specific territory
  • Educate financial advisors on offered products and services through individual or group meetings, branch visits, seminars, and conferences/trade shows
  • Develop and implement wholesaling business plans to deliver territory sales goals
  • Present sales activities at weekly wholesaling meetings
  • Maintain wholesaling activity logs and databases, including broker profiles and current and proposed sales activity
  • Work with the assigned internal wholesaler to identify and foster leads from referrals, advertising campaigns, and territory canvassing
  • Manage the expense account within the allotted budget
  • Lead projects, programs, or processes involving cross-functional teams
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Finance or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the financial services industry, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources
  • SIE required unless an exemption or grandfathering applies
  • FINRA Series 7 required, with ability to obtain other necessary licenses within sixty (60) days of hire
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, principles, and practices of the securities industry and asset management products
  • Knowledge of broker/dealer operations
  • Ability to identify customer needs through effective questioning and listening techniques
  • Ability to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prepare and deliver clear, convincing, and professional sales presentations to small and large audiences
  • Problem-solving ability to analyze, research, and resolve inquiries and issues
  • Ability to analyze business processes and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and required software applications
  • Ability to represent the company professionally
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
