Job Description
Full-Time Faculty Instructor in Finance developing instructional materials and engaging in effective virtual instruction. Supporting adult learners to achieve academic and career goals in an online environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develops instructional materials, aligned with identified learning objectives, course competencies, and instructional interventions, to support both student self-service use and use in virtual one-to-many events.
- Provides effective, relevant, and engaging one-to-many virtual events aligned with identified learning objectives.
- Continually develops knowledge, skills, and expertise through active participation in faculty learning community and other developmental opportunities.
- Provides proactive, relevant, timely, and effective one-to-one virtual instruction to students in a specific course or domain.
- Facilitates student communities to support peer collaboration, effective faculty interaction, and student development.
- Student-centered and provides effective one-to-one virtual coaching to help students achieve personal, academic, and career goals.
- Adapts instructional and coaching practices to common and typical student needs.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an MBA with graduate-level coursework in Corporate Finance, Financial Management, and Financial Analysis (accredited institution; education verified), at least 15 graduate credit hours must be in Finance.
- 2+ years of experience teaching adult learners in higher education (online/distance teaching experience acceptable).
- 3+ years of professional Finance industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing student support and instruction, including supporting struggling or at-risk learners.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, accessible instruction for adult learners.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and a student-obsessed mindset.
- Must reside in the continental U.S. and work from a dedicated, quiet home office with reliable technology and minimal distractions during scheduled hours.
- Flexibility to support learners during evenings/weekends and attend occasional meetings/events.
