Job Description
FDA policy reporter covering biopharmaceutical regulation, people, and government-industry policy for Endpoints News. Breaking news and contextual analysis in a work-from-anywhere role.
Responsibilities:
- Cover the Food and Drug Administration
- Chronicle changes in biopharmaceutical regulation, clinical trial policy, compounding pharmacies, pharmaceuticals, and wellness
- Put regulations in context
- Break news on people and policy
- Illuminate the push and pull between industry and government
- Develop a vision for the FDA policy reporting beat
- Collaborate with deputy editor Lydia Ramsey Pflanzer and the pharma reporting team
- Work independently in a digital-first environment
Requirements:
- Background covering health policy
- Demonstrated interest in biopharma
- Track record of clips with vivid writing
- Competition-beating reporting
- Beat-defining ideas
- Vision for the FDA policy reporting beat
- Understanding of Endpoints’ mission and ambition
- Confidence operating independently in a digital-first environment
- Ability to work the East Coast schedule
- Strong preference for candidates in DC or with proven ability to cover the agency from afar
