Job Description

In-House Journalist creating high-quality editorial content about parking and commercial real estate. Conducting interviews, analyzing data, and building relationships to inform and engage stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Own our publication, building a high-production-value owned publication on a monthly or quarterly cadence.
  • Turn proprietary parking data into a recurring quarterly report, leveraging AI for analysis and production.
  • Identify and interview interesting people in the industry, conducting insightful interviews.
  • Package data findings and stories into pitches for journalists, building relationships and ensuring pitches are compelling.
  • Create content from interviews and data for social media channels, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Write SEO and GEO-focused content based on original data and reporting.

Requirements:

  • 4-8+ Years of Experience preferred in journalism, editorial work, or research.
  • Comfortable in a dataset; can look at data and know its relevance.
  • Strong interviewer: prepares, listens, and asks follow-up questions.
  • Ability to write clean, direct prose in various formats.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to build workflows with them.
  • Commercially minded; understanding that content drives brand awareness and demand.
  • A scrappy mentality and willingness to build processes from scratch.
  • Nice to have: experience in commercial real estate, proptech, mobility, cities, or business/finance; experience with earned media; experience growing audiences on social platforms; familiarity with SEO fundamentals.
