Job Description
Field Service Engineer commissioning, repairing, and optimizing TOMRA Food’s sensor-based sorting systems. Delivering customer training and field support primarily in France with extensive international travel.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver field service work efficiently to meet cost and time objectives
- Ensure optimal performance of TOMRA Food sorting machines
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues and conduct repairs
- Collaborate with internal departments to improve customer support processes
- Install and adjust TOMRA Food equipment
- Train customers in system operation and maintenance
- Maintain accurate, detailed field reports for administrative follow-up
- Provide commissioning, operation, testing, integration, optimisation, maintenance, training, and repair services primarily in France
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrotechnical, Automation, or Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent of minimum 3 years of experience in a related field
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
- Proven experience in on-site preventive and corrective maintenance supporting industrial customers
- Good understanding of IT, networking, and PC configuration
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel abroad for at least 80% of the time, including weekends or holiday seasons
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and management
