Job Description
Field Service Engineer installing and maintaining TOMRA’s sensor-based recycling sorting systems across Australia. Troubleshooting equipment, supporting customers, and advancing sustainable resource recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, test, maintain, and optimize TOMRA sorting systems across Australia
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, mechanical, software, and network-related issues
- Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
- Deliver operator and maintenance training to customer teams
- Coordinate service activities, upgrades, and project-related work
- Prepare accurate service reports and documentation
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, improvements, and spare parts sales
- Collaborate with Project Management, Sales, and Technical Support teams
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Travel regularly across Australia and occasionally internationally
Requirements:
- Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting industrial equipment in a Field Service, Maintenance, or Technical Support environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and electronic systems
- Solid mechanical aptitude and hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication and customer relationship skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environment
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid authority to work in Australia
- Experience with optical sorting technology (preferred)
- Experience within the recycling industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of industrial networking, IT systems, and cybersecurity concepts (preferred)
- Additional language skills (preferred)
