Job Description

Field Service Engineer installing and commissioning high-pressure food processing systems for JBT Marel. Troubleshooting hydraulics, leading site projects, training customers, and supporting global installations with extensive travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission new systems within the schedule and budget provided by the project team
  • Work with mechanical, hydraulic, ultra-high-pressure fluid, electrical, and controls systems
  • Troubleshoot and rebuild hydraulic systems, variable pumps, directional valves, relief valves, and intensifiers
  • Troubleshoot and rebuild centrifugal pumps
  • Work on filtration systems
  • Administer and report on projects
  • Lead on-site project staff, including customer maintenance crews and external contractors
  • Train customers and Avure staff through classroom and practical applications
  • Maintain personal and site staff safety
  • Perform quality assurance and manage customer relations
  • Provide remote support to customers and coworkers
  • Support other departments and sites
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and lead large projects involving crane operations, rigging, electrical installation, and plumbing
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities

Requirements:

  • AAS or equivalent education/work experience
  • 3+5 years of experience in a Field Service Technician capacity
  • Willingness to travel up to 90%, domestically and internationally
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical prints and PLC ladder logic
  • Familiarity with cooling, pneumatic, and high/low-pressure systems
  • Ability to use torque wrenches and measurement instruments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, including maintaining complex spreadsheets
  • Proficiency with web-based databases
  • Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience installing multimillion-dollar capital equipment products
  • Experience coordinating, prioritizing, and leading large projects involving crane operations, rigging, electrical installation, and plumbing
  • Demonstrated experience with PLCs, HMI, and SCADA systems
  • Experience with ultra-high-pressure or water jet cutting machines
  • Previous work experience in a food processing facility
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
