Job Description
Technicien de service terrain entretenant les GAB, systèmes de point de vente et équipements informatiques de Diebold Nixdorf. Diagnostic, réparations, installations et formation des clients.
Responsibilities:
- Determine priorities and schedule service calls.
- Contact customers to advise them of the estimated arrival time.
- Install, debug, and provide technical maintenance for hardware and software, primarily at customer locations.
- Perform scheduled inspections, cleaning, servicing, and minor repairs on ATMs, point-of-sale equipment, computers, and related peripherals.
- Perform basic installation of cables, devices, and Mas-Hamilton locks.
- Diagnose hardware and software failures using diagnostic tools.
- Perform component-level hardware repairs and adjust mechanical components.
- Configure and install applicable software.
- Perform preventive maintenance and replenish consumables according to guidelines.
- Install, move, add, change, and remove hardware and software products.
- Accurately record service-related data and complete required documentation.
- Escalate issues and reassign service calls as needed.
- Train customers on the use and operation of installed hardware and software.
- Participate in training, KPI implementation, and special projects.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- One to two years of technical service experience.
- Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets DN fleet requirements.
- Good computer knowledge and skills.
- Strong advanced-level troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong advanced-level prioritization and follow-up skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in inclement weather.
- Ability to adapt to various shifts, including a rotating on-call schedule during evenings and weekends.
- Ability to organize and inventory parts and tools in the service vehicle.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle.
- Successful completion of driver’s record, background, and drug screening checks.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment weighing more than 9 kg (20 lb) and work while standing, bending, crouching, and frequently moving the hands and fingers.
- Fluency in French required.
- Ability to travel to the United States for training.
- Education or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Field Services.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical or specialized training is an asset.
