Job Description

GAF roofing rotational associate conducting inspections, coatings support, and technical services across the Northeast. Developing future Field Services leaders through a two-year program.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a two-year rotational program designed to develop high-potential talent into future Field Services leaders
  • Collaborate with key leaders across the Field Services Organization on major projects and strategic initiatives
  • Conduct residential and commercial roofing inspections, including start-ups, interims, finals, leak, and complaint inspections
  • Travel to neighboring areas to complete roof inspections
  • Prioritize open inspection requests and formulate productive, efficient schedules
  • Assist with leak and complaint inspections and problem resolution
  • Provide proper written communication to GAF and GAF owners/customers
  • Support high-profile and complex liquid-applied coatings projects
  • Assist with Field Services and contractor training for advanced coatings projects
  • Assist with demonstrations and seminars
  • Aid in managing key job inspections
  • Collaborate with R&D on new product development and application techniques
  • Support design and drafting needs for architects, specifiers, contractors, and GAF Territory Managers
  • Assist with roofing details, custom details, roof plans, sheet layouts, and manufacturers' shop drawings
  • Assist with writing, revising, and maintaining CSI-formatted specifications and installation manuals
  • Complete safety training and adhere to jobsite safety practices
  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow rooftop, ladder, and safe-driving practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Previous internship/apprenticeship or co-op related experience in construction or roofing environment
  • Knowledge of the building material industry specifically roofing and water management products
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Ability to establish and maintain business relationships
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple activities and commitments
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials, ladders, etc.
  • Knowledge and proven ability with Google Suite or MS Office
  • Good attention to detail
  • Bi-lingual - English/Spanish preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 60%
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa
  • Ability to establish and operate from an in-home office
  • Ability to wear appropriate PPE and follow jobsite and manufacturing facility safety practices
  • Ability to exercise rooftop, ladder, driving, and cell phone safety precautions
