Job Description
Clinical revenue cycle consultant optimizing professional billing and charge capture for healthcare organizations. Delivering analytics and process improvements while collaborating with client leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day tasks related to clinical revenue management and charge capture optimization projects for Professional Billing customers
- Apply technical expertise and interpersonal skills to support clients
- Use advanced technology tools to deliver analysis and process improvement strategies
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clients' revenue cycles
- Collaborate with various levels of client leadership
- Deliver client-focused solutions and tangible operational impact
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business or a health-related field is required
- 3-5 years of deep healthcare experience, focused on professional billing coding and charging
- Previous experience in a professional services or consulting role
- Expertise in professional revenue cycle management, especially physician coding and charge capture processes
- Strong technical knowledge in the area of expertise
- Relevant licensure or certifications expected, such as CPC, COC, CPPM, CRCR, CIRCC, RHIA, or CPMA
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to guide cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of client and internal staff
- Exceptional financial and analytical skills
- Aptitude for using data and data analytics tools, such as Excel
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Up to 25% travel to client sites as needed
- MBA, MHA, and/or MPH highly desirable
- CPC, CPPM, and CCDS-O certifications desired
- Epic PB Resolute Billing Administration desired
- Charge capture and coding experience desired
