Job Description

Finance Analyst supporting Acino’s pharmaceutical operations in Iraq through budgeting, reporting, tax compliance, inventory control, and profitability analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Support business growth through budgeting and latest estimate (LE) activities
  • Monitor receivables and coordinate timely follow-up and collection
  • Perform quarterly reconciliation analysis of sales with distributors
  • Prepare accruals during month-end closing and support accurate financial reporting
  • Record commercial invoices and reconcile accounts receivable entries
  • Manage bookkeeping, withholding tax, income tax, social security, tax clearance, and local financial statements
  • Investigate COGS variances and support budget and forecast reporting
  • Verify warehouse stock movements, scrap, write-offs, and inventory balances
  • Manage the TMS cycle through the gross profit level
  • Conduct volume-mix and price analysis across brands and SKUs
  • Analyze brand-level profitability by consolidating revenue and cost drivers
  • Prepare, review, and analyze quarterly distributor P&Ls
  • Track operating expenses and analyze actuals against benchmarks
  • Maintain updated price lists and reconcile FOC discounts between TMS and IMS
  • Support the Finance Manager with budget exercises and coordinate data collection
  • Assist with management presentation decks for forecasts and business performance reviews
  • Recommend cost reductions and improvements to financial performance
  • Support internal control framework activities, documentation, and walkthroughs
  • Report directly to the Finance Manager

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to analyze, develop, and implement finance improvement plans
  • Ability to work within and lead cross-functional teams
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
  • Strong numerical and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of economic principles, tax regulations, and financial markets
