Job Description
Finance Director leading financial strategy, accounting, and HR for Degy, a global entertainment booking and talent buying agency. Overseeing international operations, contracts, forecasting, and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the organization
- Oversee accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance functions
- Develop and maintain financial models to support executive decision making and growth initiatives
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic planning, deal structuring, and risk management
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, legal counsel, and external financial partners
- Ensure compliance with GAAP standards, federal/state tax regulations, and entertainment industry contracts
- Review and negotiate financial terms of artist contracts, venue agreements, and vendor deals
- Oversee multi currency financial management across international operations
- Build, mentor, and develop the internal finance and accounting team
- Present financial performance, forecasts, and strategic insights to ownership and stakeholders
- Recommend and optimize financial systems, processes, and internal controls
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and profitability across all business lines
- Oversee Human Resources functions including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy development
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance/Business a plus
- 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Proven track record as a Finance Director, CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent senior finance role
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Demonstrated experience with international finance and multi currency operations
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Salesforce, accounting ERP systems, and advanced Excel/financial modeling
- Proficiency with payroll systems and payroll processing platforms
- Strong knowledge of state tax compliance including payroll taxes, sales taxes, and income taxes across multiple jurisdictions
- Understanding of contract finance, royalties, and talent/event revenue structures
- Comfortable working in an Apple MacOS/Apple product environment
- Must be a United States Citizen or qualified to work in the U.S. Must be based in the United States.
