Job Description

Finance Operations Specialist managing finance and payroll processes for 1840 & Company. Overseeing day-to-day operations in a remote environment across U.S. and Puerto Rico entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices
  • Support payroll execution and benefits administration
  • Enforce expense, PO, and SG&A policies
  • Maintain and update cash flow forecasts
  • Upload and organize financial documentation for audits and tax support
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Maintain finance system accuracy across platforms such as Rippling, Mercury, QuickBooks, etc.

Requirements:

  • 4–6 years of experience in finance operations, accounting operations, or payroll
  • Strong experience with working 3rdP accounting and tax professionals
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and highly organized
  • Comfortable managing high task volume and recurring deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously
  • Adapting to rapidly changing requirements in a startup setup
  • Clear, professional communication skills
