Job Description
Finance Operations Specialist managing finance and payroll processes for 1840 & Company. Overseeing day-to-day operations in a remote environment across U.S. and Puerto Rico entities.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices
- Support payroll execution and benefits administration
- Enforce expense, PO, and SG&A policies
- Maintain and update cash flow forecasts
- Upload and organize financial documentation for audits and tax support
- Support month-end close activities
- Maintain finance system accuracy across platforms such as Rippling, Mercury, QuickBooks, etc.
Requirements:
- 4–6 years of experience in finance operations, accounting operations, or payroll
- Strong experience with working 3rdP accounting and tax professionals
- Detail-oriented, process-driven, and highly organized
- Comfortable managing high task volume and recurring deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple operational tasks simultaneously
- Adapting to rapidly changing requirements in a startup setup
- Clear, professional communication skills
