Job Description
FLIGHT DECK Leader responsible for leading lean transformation across manufacturing operations at GE Aerospace. Driving continuous improvement and quality management to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full adoption of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals, including Standard Work, Daily & Visual Management, Value Stream Management, Operating Cadences, and Hoshin Kanri
- Advise and coach site leadership and teams on FLIGHT DECK principles
- Utilize lean tools and methodologies to solve complex problems
- Sensei/Coach gemba coaches to facilitate week-long kaizen events
- Manage the training and development of extended manufacturing engineering team
- Champion change across the organization
- Interface effectively with OEMs, internal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive measurable improvements in SQDC performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years of lean manufacturing leadership experience
- High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of lean manufacturing leadership experience (alternative qualification)
- 10+ years in manufacturing, engineering, quality improvement, program management, with 5+ years in lean/FLIGHT DECK or operations leadership utilizing lean methodologies
- Proven ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement efficient solutions
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills
- Ability to manage diverse activities simultaneously and work effectively in a matrix organization

- Focused: Strategically prioritizes work, quick learner, and committed to results
