Job Description
Gameplay Animator for The Witcher 4, collaborating on lifelike animations with gameplay teams. Producing immersive animations for in-game characters and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering in-game animations using Autodesk Maya, MotionBuilder and Unreal Engine as the main art creation and implementation tools.
- Establishing and maintaining animation asset creation workflows, folders, naming conventions and other engine-related organizational structures.
- Co-developing multiple playable and non-playable animation systems, including MotionMatching Systems, Blendspaces, animation graphs, procedural animation setups, and engine-specific auxiliary data such as notification and synchronization events, and additional data settings files.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with motion capture data and key-frame animation.
- Both Technical and Artistically oriented.
- Strong understanding of animal locomotion biomechanics, with a particular focus on horse movement.
- Proven experience animating animals and/or creatures.
- Production proven game experience with at least one title released.
- Good grasp and understanding of gameplay design.
- Very good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English.
