Job Description
Global Category Manager overseeing the sourcing and management of JLL's global fleet of vehicles. Leading initiatives towards electric vehicle transitions and optimizing fleet management practices.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake the sourcing, negotiation, and contract of JLL business requirements on a global basis for the Fleet category
- Support the strategic transformation of JLL's fleet of 4,000+ vehicles globally, including the transition to electric vehicles to support JLL's Net Zero goals
- Forge and develop key strategic relationships with Fleet suppliers, vehicle manufacturers, leasing companies, fuel/energy suppliers, and service providers on behalf of JLL, ensuring long-term mutually beneficial and ethical partnerships while providing the business with access to supplier innovation
- Provide expert advice and guidance to JLL Business leaders on Fleet management, procurement strategies, total cost of ownership, and sustainability outcomes
- Ensure that all sourcing is undertaken in line with the overall category approach and procurement best practice
- Lead complex global and regional sourcing initiatives in fleet, including supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract structuring for critical, high-value arrangements
- Manage large-scale global RFPs across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and procurement best practice
- Deliver financial targets and identify opportunities to optimize fleet total cost of ownership
- Manage procurement events, RFP processes, bid analysis, contract approvals, savings reporting, and compliance
- Rationalize supply base and develop strategic supply partner framework, maintaining senior-level supplier relationships
- Optimize fleet utilization, right-sizing, and vehicle lifecycle management
- Develop and implement fleet policies, standards, and best practices globally
- Support transition of JLL's fleet towards lower-emission and zero-emission vehicles, developing transition roadmaps aligned with business requirements
- Execute sourcing strategies for alternative fuel vehicles, electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and energy supply requirements
- Lead emissions data collection and reporting to support JLL's ESG and regulatory requirements
- Partner with ESG leaders to deliver strategies supporting JLL's sustainability commitments
- Track and report on Net Zero fleet objectives and emissions reduction metrics
- Monitor market developments, government incentives, regulations, and emerging technologies
- Act as trusted advisor to Business Line COOs and senior stakeholders on Fleet strategy, performance, costs, and risks
- Build cross-functional partnerships with Finance, ESG, Legal, Risk and Technology
- Establish supplier governance, performance management, and risk mitigation frameworks
- Prepare high-quality papers and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure ethical standards and Global Procurement policy compliance
Requirements:
- Deep Fleet procurement expertise managing complex, global Fleet categories including vehicles, leasing, fuel management, maintenance, insurance, and telematics
- Manage large-scale global RFPs across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and procurement best practice
- Strong understanding of Fleet total cost of ownership models, lifecycle management, and fleet optimization strategies
- Knowledge of global Fleet markets, manufacturers, leasing companies, and service providers
- Experience with fleet sustainability initiatives, including electric vehicles, alternative fuels, or emissions reduction programmes
- Proven experience in electric vehicle fleet transition and fleet electrification programmes would be advantageous
- Working knowledge of ESG principles, emissions reporting, and sustainability considerations
- At least 5-7 years of Sourcing and Procurement experience with significant focus on Fleet category
- Experience managing large-scale procurement or transformation programmes
