Job Description
Graphic Designer evaluating and refining professional layouts for HumanSignal’s AI training data projects. Applying design judgment across typography, color, hierarchy, and visual polish.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate professional designs across typography, visual hierarchy, color, layout, and overall polish
- Identify subtle and substantial design issues
- Use a browser-based editor to bring designs to a cohesive, professional standard
- Process a steady volume of designs while maintaining consistent quality and judgment
- Flag edge cases and unclear examples to improve guidelines
Requirements:
- Formal design training (degree, certificate, or bootcamp) or 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
- Strong command of composition, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy
- Fluency with browser-based design tools
- Objective evaluation against design principles rather than personal taste
- Sharp attention to detail and consistency through repetitive tasks
- Availability of 10+ hours per week for the next 2–6 weeks
- Experience reviewing or critiquing others' work (art direction, design QA, teaching, or mentorship) is nice to have
- Prior AI/data annotation work is nice to have
