Job Description
Business Analyst specializing in Guidewire PolicyCenter integrating with DataHub in the insurance domain for Exavalu, leading data analysis and documentation efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical leads to analyze and document business and data requirements for PolicyCenter and DataHub integrations.
- Work with PolicyCenter (on-prem) implementation teams to understand policy lifecycle processes, data structures, and key business rules.
- Perform data mapping and validation between Guidewire DataHub and Data Warehouse systems.
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate policy-related data.
- Identify data discrepancies and work with development and data engineering teams to resolve mapping or transformation issues.
- Support ETL and reporting teams by providing clear functional and data mapping documentation.
- Participate in requirement workshops, data design discussions, and UAT sessions to ensure end-to-end solution integrity.
- Serve as a liaison between business users, developers, and data architects, ensuring alignment on business needs and technical solutions.
- Assist with defining and maintaining data quality standards and validation processes.
- Ensure all documentation complies with enterprise standards and is maintained for audit and reference purposes.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working on Guidewire PolicyCenter (on-prem preferred).
- Strong understanding of insurance domain processes, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, and billing touchpoints.
- Experience with Guidewire DataHub and its integration with PolicyCenter.
- Proven ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, mapping, and validation.
- Experience working on data migration or data warehousing projects.
- Familiarity with data models, ETL concepts, and data governance practices.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret business requirements into technical and data specifications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
