Job Description
Head of Growth Marketing driving user engagement and acquisition at Marco Polo video chat app. Leading a team to optimize growth strategies and implement AI-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Own the full growth funnel for Circles: Paid and organic acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, referrals and upgrades . You'll develop and iterate on market strategy, develop and iterate execution plans, and lead your team to deliver. You'll also support broader Marco Polo growth initiatives as relevant.
- Drive paid marketing performance: Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across mobile and social channels (Meta, TikTok, Google, and beyond), with deep fluency in creative development and testing, ROAS optimization and profitable scaling.
- Lead a cross-functional growth team: You'll manage a mix of marketers, product managers, and designers — all unified around a single charter: profitable growth. You create clarity, build momentum, and foster a culture of learning and high performance.
- Drive AI-powered growth capabilities: Identify, pilot, and scale AI tools across acquisition, creative, and lifecycle — bringing new capabilities to the team before they become obvious and raising everyone's fluency as you go.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of growth or performance marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role at a consumer company.
- Deep experience in paid user acquisition across mobile and social platforms, including strong command of mobile measurement and attribution.
- A genuine, ongoing obsession with AI in marketing — not a past familiarity, but an active practice. You're consistently ahead of the curve, and you've demonstrated it by changing how your team works, not just how you personally work.
- Strong analytical skills: you're comfortable in dashboards and can make decisions grounded in data and based on evolving probability assessment of parallel hypotheses rather than gut alone.
- Experience marketing a subscription product and understanding of the economics of LTV, payback periods, and sustainable growth.
- A track record of driving results with lean resources — you know how to prioritize ruthlessly and move fast without burning people out.
