Job Description
Home Care Worker supporting aged clients with household tasks, meals, transport, and social care. Joining Silverchain, an Australian not-for-profit home care provider.
Responsibilities:
- Provide home help services to aged care clients
- Perform general housekeeping and make beds
- Clean, mop and vacuum floors
- Wash, fold and iron laundry
- Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping
- Provide social support and transport to lifestyle activities
- Help family carers take a break or attend to other activities
- Work independently and find solutions to everyday problems
- Ask a manager for help when needed
Requirements:
- No experience required
- USI number required
- Open class Australian Driver's Licence
- Own insured, roadworthy vehicle
- Interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential)
- Statutory Declaration prior to commencement
- National Police check prior to commencement
- Working Rights check prior to commencement
- Pre-employment functional assessment prior to commencement
