Job Description
Part-time Home Care Worker providing domestic and personal care for Silverchain’s aged-care clients. Supporting independence, wellbeing, mobility, medication routines and community activities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide aged care clients with home help services
- Perform general housekeeping and make beds
- Clean, mop and vacuum floors
- Wash, fold and iron laundry
- Prepare meals and complete grocery shopping
- Get clients out of bed, showered and dressed
- Assist clients to take medications
- Assist with mobility and therapy goals
- Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
- Provide social and emotional support
- Transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments
- Give family carers a break or opportunity to do other things
- Work independently, find solutions to everyday problems and ask a manager for help when needed
Requirements:
- At least 3 months’ experience in a similar professional role
- Experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Own insured, roadworthy vehicle
- Completion of a Statutory Declaration prior to commencement
- National Police check prior to commencement
- Working Rights check prior to commencement
- Pre-employment functional assessment prior to commencement

- Guaranteed hours and shifts, minimum 50 hours per fortnight, Monday to Thursday
