Job Description
Immunology Sales Specialist promoting Keenova’s ophthalmology therapeutics to physicians. Managing Seattle territory strategy, clinical selling, and customer relationships for autoimmune and rare diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed territory sales plan and expense plan goals by developing and implementing territory-specific strategies
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with targeted opinion leaders and physicians
- Maintain current working knowledge of company products and relevant disease states
- Develop Territory Business Plans, plan workdays and weeks, establish call plans, and prepare for sales calls
- Develop and implement territory programs such as speakers’ bureaus and symposia to maximize sales opportunities
- Develop and maintain permanent customer records
- Complete administrative tasks accurately, legibly, and in an organized and timely manner
- Deliver current, effective, and accurate sales presentations to customers
- Maintain a professional sales image
- Operate the assigned sales territory in compliance with applicable regulations, Pharma guidelines, and company policies
- Attend regional and national conferences
- Serve as a results-oriented salesperson, business partner, and consultant for immunology products serving autoimmune and rare disease patients
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years’ experience in Ophthalmology
- In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree: Associate’s Degree and 5+ years of successful, proven pharmaceutical or industry equivalent experience within Ophthalmology, OR 7+ years of successful, proven pharmaceutical or industry equivalent experience within Ophthalmology
- Current experience within the territory and customer knowledge highly preferred
- Experience selling biologics to specialty physicians in rare disease areas preferred
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license
- Strong clinical and disease state knowledge
- Understanding of industry trends, economic sectors, and market dynamics
- Ability to build new business and expand existing customer relationships
- Ability to communicate accurately, concisely, and compellingly to varied audiences
- Ability to utilize available information and support resources to solve problems
- Ability to travel locally, with some overnight travel varying by region
- Attend regional and national conferences throughout the year
