Job Description
iOS-Entwickler:in building and maintaining Swift apps for Rocket Apes, a German native-app development studio. Developing architecture, features, testing, and technical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for iOS development tasks and projects using Swift
- Develop new features and apps
- Familiarize yourself with existing code and maintain legacy code
- Develop app architecture
- Plan, estimate, and coordinate software development projects
- Apply established design patterns such as MVC and MVVM
- Integrate backend systems via REST APIs and JSON
- Manage technical projects
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with iOS colleagues and provide support with technical issues
- Identify and implement improvements
- Monitor existing apps and troubleshoot issues
- Bring your own ideas to the table and experiment with new approaches
Requirements:
- At least five years of experience as an iOS developer; applicants with less than five years of professional experience may also be considered if they gained extensive development experience during their studies and have advanced skills
- Fluent German, both written and spoken—at least B2 level, preferably C1
- Proficiency in Swift and Xcode
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
- Experience with client-server technologies, REST, and JSON
- Experience with unit testing, test-driven development, and UI testing
- Knowledge of Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines
- Knowledge of common standards and protocols
- Willingness and ability to communicate clearly within a team
- Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Data, and SwiftUI is a plus
- Experience with Firebase is a plus
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment is a plus
- Familiarity with the App Store is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally for pre-arranged exceptional business trips
- A degree in a relevant field is a plus but not required
