Job Description
IT Architect designing Modern Workplace architecture for HBK, a global sensors and test-and-measurement technology company. Driving Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity, AI workplace tools, and Zero Trust strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain enterprise architecture for the Modern Workplace domain, including endpoint management, collaboration platforms, and identity/access integration
- Define and drive roadmaps for Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Windows 11, Apple Business Manager, Manage Engine Endpoint Central, Soti MDM, and related client technologies
- Define architecture and rollout strategy for AI-powered workplace tools, including licensing, data governance, and security considerations
- Define and monitor Digital Employee Experience strategy
- Ensure outsourced services align with enterprise architecture standards
- Establish architecture standards, reference designs, and governance guidelines for device management, application deployment, and Zero Trust/Conditional Access policies
- Establish responsible AI governance guidelines for the Modern Workplace domain with security and compliance stakeholders
- Evaluate and select tools and technologies to improve employee experience, security posture, and operational efficiency
- Evaluate emerging AI capabilities in endpoint and device management and assess organizational fit
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and service management teams to align broader IT architecture
- Support and guide technical teams during implementation as design authority and escalation point
- Create and maintain architecture documentation, including solution designs, technical standards, and decision records
- Assess impacts of new Microsoft/vendor releases and recommend adoption strategies
- Support license optimization and workplace technology cost management
- Advise stakeholders by translating business requirements into technical architecture decisions
- Advise stakeholders on AI-driven features that can improve employee productivity and self-service capabilities
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in IT architecture or senior engineering roles focused on end-user computing/Modern Workplace technologies
- Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager, and Windows 11 client management
- Successful delivery of workplace roadmap initiatives
- Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles
- Experience with device lifecycle management, including Autopilot, provisioning, and patch management
- Familiarity with Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive from an architectural perspective
- Ability to produce clear architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with VDI and Digital Workspace platforms, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and VMware Horizon
- Exposure to mobile device management/UEM for iOS, Android, and macOS
- Background in ITIL-based service management environments
- Experience in regulated or enterprise environments with complex compliance requirements
- Fluent in English at business level
- Must work remotely within Spain, Portugal, or India
