Job Description

Jira Administrator responsible for optimizing Jira environments and supporting project management teams. Focused on creating scalable workflows and effective knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and optimize Jira Cloud environments, including configurations and ongoing system enhancements
  • Design and implement Jira automations to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency
  • Create and customize Jira projects, including issue types, workflows, permission schemes, and screen configurations
  • Partner closely with Project Management teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored Jira solutions
  • Troubleshoot system issues and provide ongoing support to Jira users
  • Document configurations, processes, and best practices
  • Cross-train internal team members (Merlin Lab employees) on implemented solutions and system usage

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Jira Administrator
  • Strong expertise in Jira Cloud, including automations and advanced customizations
  • Proven experience with project setup and configuration (workflows, schemes, permissions, issue types, etc.)
  • Ability to collaborate with PM teams and translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience training or mentoring end users and internal teams
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
